Das Projekt OPTIMETA – Stärkung des Open-Access-Publikationssystems durch offene Zitationen und raumzeitliche Metadaten

Abstract

Das BMBF-geförderte Projekt OPTIMETA bindet offene Zitationen und raumzeitliche Metadaten von Open-Access-Zeitschriften an offen zugängliche Datenquellen an. Damit leistet das Projekt einen Beitrag für offene Forschungsinformationen und sorgt für bessere Auffindbarkeit und somit Sichtbarkeit von Open-Access-Publikationen. Dies verbessert die Attraktivität von Open-Access-Zeitschriften als Publikationsort und ermöglicht innovative Anwendungen für Wissenschaftskommunikation und -kollaboration. Die technische Umsetzung erfolgt über die Entwicklung von zwei Plugins für Open Journal Systems zur benutzerfreundlichen Erfassung, Bereitstellung und Übermittlung von Geodaten und Zitationsdaten als Metadaten von wissenschaftlichen Artikeln.
