Abstract

Promotionsdauern und Promotionsabschlüsse sind von hoher wissenschaftspolitischer Relevanz, Informationen dazu jedoch rar. Die DFG analysiert in zwei statistischen Berichten Daten zu Promotionen in Sonderforschungsbereichen, Graduiertenkollegs, Exzellenzclustern und Graduiertenschulen. Im Bericht „Alles hat ein Ende … oder? Abgeschlossene und nicht abgeschlossene Promotionen in DFG-geförderten Verbünden“ wird ermittelt, wie viele der Promotionen, die im Jahr 2012 begonnen wurden, tatsächlich beendet wurden. Auch hier steht der Vergleich nach strukturellen Unterschieden im Vordergrund, die sich aus dem Fachgebiet, dem Förderprogramm oder der institutionellen Zugehörigkeit ergeben.
