This study deals with the experimental determination of the electrochemical, conductivity and optical properties of methylene blue dye. The potential/pH diagram was established by potentiometric measurements and compared to the calculated analogue. The electrical conductivity was considered as function of changes in solute concentration, temperature, ionic force and solvent viscosity. The modelled cyclic voltammogram was used to estimate the diffusion coefficient of the methylene blue molecule at infinite dilution. Finally, the optical properties were determined through the chromacity diagram and the UV-visible spectrum.
