Subulona involuta (Gould, 1843) Achatina involuta Gould, 1843: 158. LOCALITÉ TYPE. — Cape Palmas, Liberia. DESCRIPTION. — Coquille turriculée de taille moyenne (maximum observé au mont Nimba 36 × 11,5 mm). Spire comprenant dix tours, les tours embryonnaires sont lisses à suture crénelée, les autres ornés de stries transversales irrégulières et très obliques, le dernier tour anguleux à la périphérie. Bord columellaire de l’ouverture tronqué. Coloration brun clair avec souvent sur les derniers tours des flammules plus foncées. DISTRIBUTION. — Habite la Sierra Leone, le Liberia, la Côte d’Ivoire, le Togo, le Cameroun. Signalé du mont Nimba en forêt par Binder (1963: 19).
