Nimbacris longicornis

Abstract

Nimbacris longicornis (Chopard, 1958) Lobopoma longicornis Chopard, 1958: 151. Types du Nimba, au MNHN. Nimbacris longicornis ¢ Popov & Fishpool 1992: 132. Iconographie: Chopard, 1958: 151; Popov & Fispool, 1992: 128-130. Décrite d’après un mâle et une femelle de la prairie d’altitude à 1000 m sur la piste du Bié (5.XII.1951, Lamotte et Roy), cette espèce brachyptère de couleur générale vert pâle, à longues antennes sombres, n’a fait l’objet que de quelques autres captures, toutes en prairie d’altitude: 5 mâles dans la montée vers le crête du Pierré Richaud à une altitude non notée (28.X.1956, M. Lamotte) et 2 mâles à 1000 m, également dans la montée vers le Pierré Richaud (30.X.1956, M. Lamotte), mentionnés par Dirsh (1963: 216); une femelle mêmes conditions de capture que l’holotype, mentionnée par Popov & Fishpool lors de la description du genre; enfin 1 mâle dans la prairie du camp 1 (fin XI.1951, Lamotte et Roy). Il s’agit donc d’une espèce rare, adulte en début de saison sèche (octobre-décembre), qui n’est sans doute pas présente partout en prairie d’altitude, où elle n’a jusqu’à présent été signalée que de l’extrémité nord-est.
