Abstract

Acrida sulphuripennis (Gerstaecker, 1869) Tryxalis sulphuripennis Gerstaecker, 1869: 215. Types de Zanzibar, au NMHU. Acrida sulphuripennis ¢ Stål 1873: 95. Iconographie: Mestre, 1988: 177. Espèce à statut incertain, signalée largement en Afrique au sud du Sahara, mais pas en Afrique du Nord contrairement à la précédente. Le nom spécifique est en rapport avec la coloration jaune des ailes des mâles. Pour le Nimba, signalée par Chopard (1958: 145) de Yalanzou, Nzo et Nion, en fait d’après des spécimens précédemment identifiés par Dirsh en 1951, sans doute en vue de sa révision de 1954 du genre Acrida, et maintenant conservés à Paris (sauf la femelle de Nion que je n’ai pu retrouver). Parmi les autres captures, je rapporte encore à cette espèce 1 mâle sans localité précise (II-VI.1942, M. Lamotte) et 1 juvénile femelle au dernier stade en provenance de Ziéla (20.IV.1957, Lamotte, Amiet et Vanderplaetsen).
