Catantopsilus taeniolatus

Abstract

Catantopsilus taeniolatus (Karsch, 1893) Catantops taeniolatus Karsch, 1893: 95. Types du Togo, au MNHU. Catantopsilus taeniolatus ¢ Sjöstedt 1931: 53. Iconographie: Dirsh, 1965: 352: Mestre, 1988: 145; Lamotte & Roy, 1988: 107. Espèce largement répandue dans les milieux herbacés, du Sénégal au Congo, déjà signalée du Nimba par Dirsh (1963: 213) de diverses localités. De nombreuses nouvelles captures d’adultes et de jeunes sont à signaler. Cette espèce est présente dans différents types de savanes (Kéoulenta, Ziéla, Gbakoré, plateau de Zouguépo 700-750 m, montée vers le Pierré Richaud 900 m), en prairie sur cuirasse (Niomouya, Gouéla, plateau de Zouguépo 750 m), en bordure d’un marais près Gbakoré; également quelques captures en forêt-galerie du Zougué et en forêt du Nimba N.E.; milieux non précisés pour Nzo, Nion et Thio. Ne semble pas présente au-dessus de 1000 m. Des adultes ont été capturés en février-mars ainsi que d’août à décembre, des jeunes d’octobre à février: il y a sans doute deux générations annuelles bien qu’aucun jeune n’ait été capturé de mai à juillet.
