Homoxyrrhepes punctipennis

Abstract

Homoxyrrhepes punctipennis (Walker 1870) Heteracris punctipennis Walker, 1870: 656. Type mâle d’Angola, au NHML. Homoxyrrhepes punctipennis ¢ Uvarov 1926: 444. Iconographie: Dirsh, 1965: 224; Lecoq, 1980: 547; Mestre, 1988: 91. Espèce de taille comparable à celle de la précédente, de coloration plus uniforme, également à large répartition en Afrique intertropicale, mais préférant des milieux herbacés plus secs, du Sénégal à la Tanzanie. Seulement 5 captures à signaler au Nimba, dont une sans localisation précisée, les autres étant 1 mâle en savane à Pennisetum près de Ziéla (M. Lamotte 1946), 1 mâle près de Ziéla, route de Nzo (2-3. X.1961), 1 mâle en savane entre 800 et 1000 m (Girard & Lamotte, 26.XII.1983), et 1 juvénile mâle à l’avant-dernier stade sur la piste forestière du Zougué (C. Girard, 11.V.1991).
