Die Gattung Hydroptila Die meisten uns vorliegenden Arten aus Südostasien gehören zur H. sparsa – Gruppe, was im Vergleich zu Europa erstaunlich ist, wo es eine viel grössere Diversität auf Gruppenebene gibt. Die H. occulta -Gruppe und die H. tineoides -Gruppe sind viel weniger vertreten, aber dafür gibt es ziemlich viele Arten, die ziemlich aus dem Rahmen fallen und eine isolierte Stellung einnehmen. – Was wir als 10. Segment bezeichnen, heisst bei anderen Autoren Dorsalplatte; was hier Mittelplatte genannt wird, heisst anderswo Subgenitalplatte.
