Nemapogon picarella

Authors: Gaedike, Reinhard;

Nemapogon picarella

Abstract

Nemapogon picarella (CLERCK, 1759) Morocco: 1 ♀, Ifrane, Mn. Atlas, 1650 m, 15. - 30.vi.1939, leg. C. RUNGS; MNHN: First record for North Africa. More material is needed to verify this distribution, because the species was hitherto known only from Europe and from the eastern part of Palaearctic, though, the Ifrane area has biotope (forests), in which this species could occur.

Published as part of Gaedike, Reinhard, 2009, New or poorly known Tineidae from Mauretania, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia (Lepidoptera), pp. 489-512 in Beiträge Zur Entomologie = Contributions to Entomology 59 (2) on page 492, DOI: 10.21248/contrib.entomol.59.2.489-512, http://zenodo.org/record/5364907
