Abstract

Figure 3. IL arm of Simulium yuphae, representing the IL sequence of the Thai tuberosum species (except S. weji, which lacks IL-1, and S. tani). Sections are numbered according to the S. tuberosum standard map of Landau (1962). The fixed inversion IL-1 is present and the limits of the tuberosum inversion are indicated. Inverting the IL-1 and tuberosum inversions produces the Simulium subgeneric standard sequence of Rothfels et al. (1978). C = centromere.
