Harpalus (s.str.) albanicus REITTER 1900 A s i a n T u r k e y: "Skutari" / "coll. Reitter ", syntype (HNHM); " Ankara 1957. V." / "leg. dr. Vasvári", 1 s. (HNHM). This species has been noted for Asian Turkey (CASALE & VIGNA TAGLIANTI 1999: 392), but after omitted for the region (CATPAL 1: KATAEV & WRASE 2003: 372). In fact, Scutari (a Greek name for an Asian district of Istanbul now known as Üsküdar and located on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus) is the type locality of this species. The data above confirms the presence of H. albanicus in Asian Turkey.
