Listado comentado de Pyrrhocoridae (Hemiptera-Heteroptera) de Venezuela, con la descripcion de las ninfas (II, III, IV, V) de Dysdercus maurus Distant, 1901.

Se muestra un listado revisado y actualizado de los taxones de Pyrrhocoridae (Hemiptera-Heteroptera, Pyrrhocoroidea) registrados en Venezuela. Hasta el presente se conocen 22 especies/subespecies pertenecientes al género Dysdercus Guérin Méneville, 1831 (“chinches tintóreas” o “manchadores del algodón”). Adicionalmente, se describen los estadios ninfales II, III, IV y V de Dysdercus maurus Distant, 1901 (Heteroptera: Pyrrhocoridae), a los cuales se les hizo un análisis morfométrico multivariante comparativo.
