CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Becker (1896: 253)]; treated as incertae sedis in Ephydridae [teste this work]. FAMILY: EPHYDRIDAE. REMARKS: This nominal genus was treated in Ephydridae in the revisionary work of Becker (1896) but it is missing from both the Palaearctic (Cogan, 1984) and world (Mathis & Zatwarnicki, 1995) catalogs of Ephydridae.
