Nyctiophylax (Paranyctiophylax) buoc, new species Figures 76–79 Diagnosis: The genitalia of this species are similar to those of several species from Sri Lanka to Indonesia, particularly N. (P.) kabaensis Neboiss from Sulawesi. In N. (P.) buoc the mesoventral branch of each gonopod is rectangular, not tapering; the dorsal branch has a blunt and mesad-curving apex, not narrowing and straight; and the dorsal paraproctal processes are directed laterad. Description: Male. Body uniformly pale brown. Maxillary palp formula (I,II)-IV-III-V. Forewing length 3.0 mm. Forewing A1, A2, and A3 looped. Male genitalia. Abdominal segment IX reduced to robust sternite, vertically tall, nearly triangular in lateral view (Fig. 76); tergum IX membranous, with no narrow sclerotized stripe discernible. Segment X membranous, triangular in lateral view, apically truncate in dorsal view. Cerci setose, narrowly elongate in lateral view (Fig. 76); tapering in dorsal view (Fig. 77), almost as long as dorsal paraproctal processes. Paraproctal complexes well-developed, highly sclerotized, smooth; each composed of paraproctal base (anterior body formed by meeting point of dorsal and ventral paraproctal processes) narrow; dorsal paraproctal process slender, slightly longer, and laterad-curving; and ventral paraproctal process slightly shorter, hooked anterad apically. Gonopods each with short, broad mesoventral branch with small setae; dorsal branch long, slightly curving posterad in lateral view (Fig. 76), apex blunt and strongly curving mesad in ventral view (Fig. 78). Phallic apparatus (Fig. 79) located dorsally in genitalia, guided by paraproctal processes; phallotheca tubular; apex of phallicata striped, other parts membranous, without spines or sclerites. Holotype male: VIETNAM: Bac Thai Province, Quang Chu, 24–25.v.1987, light [J. Oláh]—(OPC). Distribution: Vietnam. Etymology: Buoc, after “buoc”, knot in Vietnamese, named after the rectangular, knot-like mesoventral branch of each gonopod.
