Southern mainland, Sardinia (Chandler 2007) and Sicily (Chandler 2004a). Notes. The Sicilian record published by Chandler (2004a) refers to 1 ♂ from the east side of Mount Etna (Catania province), 1450 m, 12.VI.1982, leg. H. Malicky, ZSM (det. N. Caspers). Chandler (2007) recorded this species in large numbers from reafforested areas on Mount Vesuvius and from Sardinia (without further data) on the basis of the above-mentioned specimens.
