Dialodia brevisetacea, sp. nov. (Plate 3I, Figs. 194–201) Length. Male 7.10–7.50 mm; female unknown. External morphology. Medium size, robust species. General color black with yellow markings, small yellow spots on pronotum; forewings with veins black, cells translucent; mesonotum black with broken yellow stripe on each side of middle; crown black with yellow transverse band on anterior margin; face black, with large yellow semi-oval marking on middle of clypeus, narrow yellow transverse line basally, ocellocular area yellow (Plate 3I). Head distinctly narrower than pronotum, anterior margin broadly rounded; crown slightly narrower than width of eyes, slightly produced anteriorly, lateral margins convergent basally; eyes large, semiglobular; pronotum about ¼ as long as crown, surface bullated; mesonotum large, nearly 1½ times as long as pronotum; forewings typical; clypeus long, broad anteriorly, slightly tapered basally; clypellus narrow, slightly inflated basomedially, lateral margins constricted medially. Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view narrow, few setae and small lobe caudodorsally (Fig. 194); right subgenital plate long, constricted medially, setaceous in distal ¼ (Fig. 195); style in lateral view with apophysis broad medially, curved and narrowed apically (Fig. 196), in dorsal view corrugated along lateral margin (Fig. 197); aedeagus long, narrow, tubular except for distal ¼, numerous very short setae on ventral margin near distal ¼, small serrate flange subapically on dorsal margin in lateral view, gonopore cryptic (Figs. 198, 199); connective narrowly Yshaped, membranous medially, stem moderately long (Fig. 201); dorsal connective attached to base of aedeagal socle (Fig. 198), long, narrow plate like (Fig. 200). Material examined. Holotype male. COLOMBIA: Huila, PNN Cueva de los Guacharos, Alto el Mirador, 1º38’N.– 76º6’W., 1980 m., Malise, 2/18/2002 – 3/7/2002, F. Quevedo, leg., M.3039 (IAHC). Paratypes. 2 males, same data as holotype except Cabaña Cedros, 1º37’N.– 76º6’W., Malaise, 4/27/02–5/5/02, J. Fonseca leg., M.3130 (IAHC, MLBM), 1 male, same data as holotype except Malaise, 1/6/02–1/20/02, J. Urbano leg., M.2922 (UK). Etymology. The species name is descriptive for the numerous short setae on the subapical margin of the aedeagus. Remarks. This species is nearest to D. aviculobata, sp. nov. and can be distinguished by the narrow pygofer and style, medially constricted subgenital plate, the configuration of the aedeagus and narrowed arms of the connective.
