Abstract

Stenus eros nov.sp. (Abb. 81) Material: Holotypus () und 3 - Paratypen: West Neuguinea: Manokwari Prov., Manokwari, Warmare, 1400- 1300m, 19.IV.1993, A. Riedel.- HT und PTT im ZMB, 1 PT in cP. Beschreibung: Makropter, blau-kupfrig-metallisch schimmernd, Vorderkörper sehr grob und äusserst dicht, aber getrennt punktiert, Abdomen sehr fein und sehr zerstreut punktiert, fast glatt, glänzend; Beborstung unauffällig. Fühlerbasis und Beine bräunlichgelb, Fühlerkeule braun. An den Kiefertastern das 1. Glied gelb, die restlichen Glieder bräunlichgelb. Clypeus und Oberlippe blaumetallisch, mässig dicht beborstet. Abdomen seitlich ungerandet, Tarsen ungelappt. Länge: 3,8-4,3mm (Vorderkörperlänge: 2,0-2.1mm). PM des HT: HW: 30,5; DE: 18; PW: 21,5; PL: 26; EW: 30; EL: 36; SL: 28. Männchen: Vordersternite einfach, 7. Sternit im hinteren Drittel median flach eingedrückt und daselbst sehr fein und sehr dicht punktiert und beborstet, Hinterrand mässig tief, breitrund ausgerandet. 8. Sternit mit schmalem, rundlichem Ausschnitt etwa im hinteren Siebtel des Sternits. 9. Sternit apikal fein gesägt. 10. Tergit am Hinterrand abgerundet. Aedoeagus (Abb. 81), Apikalpartie des Medianlobus breit lanzettlich, Innenkörper distal mit länglichen Versteifungselementen, proximal mit kurzem, schlauchförmigem Innensack; Parameren kürzer als der Medianlobus, apikal mit 5 Borsten. Weibchen: 8. Sternit am Hinterrand breit abgerundet. Valvifer apikal gesägt 10. Tergit am Hinterrand abgerundet. Differenzial diagnose: Diese neue Art gehört in die S. prismalis -Gruppe und lässt sich hier von S. fretus LAST, S. amor PUTHZ, S. cupido PUTHZ und S. anteros nov.sp. nur durch die Sexualcharaktere des Männchens unterscheiden. Ety mologie: Um ihre Ähnlichkeit mit S. amor zu signalisieren, wähle ich für diese neue Art den griechischen Namen für Amor = Eros.
