Saccharodite siamensis Zelazny, sp. nov. (Fig. 338) Description. Forewings 1.9 times longer than wide, length in male about 3.7 mm. Colour stramineous; margins of facial carinae in front of eyes orange. Forewings with a light orange mark around the last subcostal sector. Male genitalia with pygofer narrow. Genital styles oval; proximal dorsal process with a wide base, gradually narrowing to a point which is curved inwards; distal dorsal process long. Apical portion of aedeagus with two pointed process at its base, the left one large, the right one very small; on the dorsal side a rounded lobe, directed to the left side. Note. Very similar to Saccharodite toroensis (Matsumura). The description above has been shortened due to this similarity. Etymology. Derived from Siam (= Thailand), the latinized species name (siamensis, -ensis, -ense) is an adjective. Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 3.7 mm), THAILAND; labels: 1) THAILAND: Pang-kan Pawng / 15.XI.1957 2) J.L. Gressitt / Collector / BISHOP MUSEUM (BPBM). Distribution. Thailand. Diagnosis. Saccharodite siamensis is indistinguishable externally from Sa. toroensis (Matsumura) from Taiwan. It can be recognized by the apical part of the male aedeagus which bears two unequal, pointed processes at its base (the left one large, the right one very small) and which lacks a terminal pointed process.
