All syntypes were collected by Wollaston in February 1858 on the hills around Valverde (probably ‘‘monte Ajare’’), as well as on the open grassy cumbre to the south of San Andrés (‘‘montaña Las Rosas’’). There is no way to identify from which of these localities a given syntype originated.
