ABSTRACT We report the observation of a Tropical Kingbird (Tyrannus melancholicus Vieillot, 1819), fishing in a pond of an urban recreational park in Caracas, Venezuela. This constitutes the second piscivory record for this species. The consumption of fish is rare in Passeriformes, indicating that fish are no an important part of their diet, which show the value of the reports of the fishing behavior.
