Abstract

La globalización y las evidentes necesidades desatendidas de la ciudadanía, exigen que las instituciones de educación superior no solo respondan con una formación académica orientada a resolver problemas de las empresas, sino que deben contener aspectos de responsabilidad social (RS). En este documento se presenta el caso del voluntariado en el programa de reforzamiento académico del distrito de Callahuanca, en la provincia de Huarochirí departamento de Lima, por estudiantes del Instituto de educación superior tecnológico Tecsup. Para el logro del aprendizaje significativo se trabajó tanto el nivel cognitivo como de habilidades prácticas, mediante talleres en el verano del 2020. Los voluntarios dictaron clases de matemáticas, física, química y computación a más de 90 niños y adolescentes de la zona, cuyas edades fluctuaron entre 5 y 15 años. Se logró interesar a los participantes en el aprendizaje de las ciencias y computación, gracias a las estrategias de enseñanza/aprendizaje empleadas por los voluntarios, como realización de experimentos específicos, uso de software para cada materia, manejo de tabletas y juegos interactivos. Tecsup se asume como una institución socialmente sensible, respondiendo a las demandas de la comunidad y la oportunidad a sus estudiantes de participar en estas actividades antes de egresar. La coordinación entre gobierno local de la Municipalidad de Callahuanca, la comunidad y la institución académica, ha sido factor clave para el éxito del proyecto.
