La gestión médica en el contexto de la migración. Una resignificación desde la venezolanidad

Abstract

La turbulencia que acicala el mundo actual se asocia a la complejidad, el dinamismo y la incertidumbre del entorno mundial. La migración internacional responde principalmente al efecto globalizador, se estima según los autores consultados que “175 millones de profesionales viven fuera de su país de origen y que, 65 millones son económicamente activos” En estos movimientos migratorios, se encuentran elementos como: la transición demográfica, la globalización de los medios de comunicación, la dependencia cultural, las estrategias socioculturales y las redes familiares. La migración es un fenómeno complejo, que tiene eco en diferentes realidades sociales y más aún en el sector salud; por tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es resignificar la gestión médica venezolana en el contexto del fenómeno migratorio actual. La metódica se enmarca dentro de lo interpretativo; la muestra estuvo conformada por: pacientes (74) y médicos venezolanos (57) migrantes; la entrevista semi-estructurada permitió un ejercicio hermenéutico de los discursos, donde se obtuvieron los significados de: hospitalidad, conocimiento médico, costos administrativos, datos epidemiológicos, empatía, compañerismo y solidaridad. Significados que fueron reagrupados en cuatro grandes categorías: Profesión como Praxis La Identidad, lo Cultural y el Ethos profesional. Estas categorías permitieron la resignificación de la Gestión Médica Venezolana, encontrando como reflexión final a la venezolanidad como eje trasversal en el fenómeno.
