This species was described from Thailand and further recorded from the Afrotropical Region: Aldabra, Seychelles, United Arab Emirates; Australasian/Oceanian Region: Australia (New South Wales, Queensland), Caroline Islands, Eniwetok Atoll, Fiji, Gilbert Islands, Guam, Hawaiian Islands, Marianas Islands, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea (Papua New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago), Solomon Islands, Society Islands, Tahiti; Nearctic Region: Antilles, Bermuda, United States (Florida); Neotropical Region: Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago; Oriental Region: Malaya, Ryukyu Islands, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam; Palaearctic Region: Japan.
