Genus Cimberis Gozis Cimberis Gozis 1881: 112. Neocimberis O’Brien and Wibmer 1982: 3. Type species. Rhinomacer attelaboides Fabricius 1787, by original designation. Cimberis, the only nemonychid genus in Wisconsin, can be recognized by mandibular form: each mandible is evenly curved on its outer edge in dorsal and lateral views and each is armed with a strong tooth on the inner edge; the mandibular sockets are only partially exposed dorsally. Additionally, the antennae are inserted medially or antemedially (Kuschel 1989).
