Bagrada hilaris (Burmeister, 1835) Distribution: United States: AZ (Palumbo & Natwick 2010), CA (Palumbo & Natwick 2010), FL [interception] (Halbert 2014), NV (Lambert & Dudley 2014), NM (Bundy 2012, Bundy et al. 2012), TX (Reed et al. 2013), UT (Reed et al. 2013). (Old World and recently found in Hawaii [Matsunaga et al. 2019] and Chile, South America [Faúndez et al. 2016]). Comments: This Old World species was only recently discovered in North America, so it was not included by Froeschner (1988). This species has been intercepted several times in Florida (Halbert 2014), but it is unclear if it has become established there.
