Abstract

Akten der Veranstaltung vom 23. und 24. Oktober 2012 Wie können die MINT-Kompetenzen zur Stärkung des Bildungs-, Wirtschafts- und Wissenschaftsstandorts Schweiz gefördert werden? Dies war das zentrale Thema der zweiten Tagung in der Reihe «Zukunft Bildung Schweiz», welche am 23./24. Oktober 2012 in Basel stattfand. Das Thema wurde aus politisch-gesellschaftlicher, volkswirtschaftlicher, kultureller und pädagogisch-didaktischer Sicht ausgeleuchtet. Es wurde danach gefragt, ob und wie die technische Entwicklung mit ihren Auswirkungen wahrgenommen und beurteilt wird. Zur Debatte stand insbesondere, wie Bildungsinstitutionen auf allen Stufen mit den neuen Anforderungen an Aus- und Weiterbildung umgehen, und wo die Ursachen für den diagnostizierten MINT-Fachkräftemangel liegen und mit welchen Massnahmen den Problemen beizukommen ist. Der soeben veröffentlichte Tagungsband enthält die schriftlichen Beiträgen der Referierenden sowie Ergebnisse aus einer Vielzahl von Gruppendiskussionen, die im Rahmen der partizipativ angelegten Veranstaltung in den Round Tables und Flow Teams geführt wurden.
