DESCRIÇÃO E TRATAMENTO DE RESÍDUOS LÍQUIDOS EM INDÚSTRIA DE BENEFICIAMENTO DE ARROZ

Abstract

O beneficiamento de arroz gera resíduos líquidos. Com base nisso, o objetivo deste trabalho é descrever e sugerir formas de tratamentos para os resíduos líquidos oriundos da rizicultura. Para tal, realizou-se uma vasta pesquisa bibliográfica em periódicos, sites, livrarias eletrônicas e normas vigentes, assim como visita técnica a uma indústria de Beneficiamento de Arroz localizada na cidade de Barreiras - BA. Com base nos dados obtidos, pode-se observar que os principais resíduos líquidos gerados por esta indústria são a água de parboilização, efluentes líquidos agroindustriais e do administrativo. Os tratamentos mais debatidos para a água de parboilização e efluentes agroindustriais se referem a diminuição da DQO através da floculação e eletrólise. Em relação aos efluentes do administativo, dentre os métodos mais utilizados estão o tratamento anaeróbio/UASB, wetlands e lodos ativados; de tal modo que a combinação dessas técnicas é a mais utilizada em razão de fatores como custo e eficiência.
