RESUMEN A lo largo del tiempo, los sistemas educativos van sufriendo transformaciones en respuesta a las necesidades que dicta su entorno social. Los hechos económicos suelen marcar las tendencias en el ámbito educativo; y los contextos empresariales cada vez más complejos, hacen que la educación superior busque responder bajo una formación integral del profesionista que muestre competencias cognitivas y emocionales proclives al desarrollo social. Por ello en el presente documento, se aborda el tema de la integridad, vista desde la óptica académica, como parte de la calidad educativa; para luego reflejarse en un desempeño social y laboral del profesionista, que sume y trascienda positivamente en su entorno. ABSTRACT Over time, educational systems undergo transformations in response to the needs dictated by their social environment. Economic events tend to set trends in the educational field; and the increasingly complex and competitive business contexts, make higher education seek to respond under a comprehensive training of the professional that shows cognitive and emotional competencies prone to social development. For this reason, this document addresses the issue of integrity, seen from an academic point of view, as part of educational quality; to later be reflected in a professional´s social and work performance, which adds and transcends positively in their environment.
