Var. S. edentata nov. sp. - [[worker]]. - Differe du type par sa ponctuation un peu plus eparse et plus faible, et surtout par ses mandibules tranchantes, sans denticulations appreciables. La couleur est aussi plus foncee, roussatre et les articles du funicule un peu plus epais. Mackay, Queensland (Turner).
