Conocimientos sobre el virus del papiloma humano en estudiantes de básica superior y bachillerato

Abstract

Las infecciones de trasmisión sexual son patologías que afectan a la población en general a mujeres como hombres, puede trasmitirse principalmente durante las relaciones sexuales y de madre a hijo durante el embarazo o el parto. Objetivo: desarrollar una intervención educativa sobre el virus del papiloma humano en estudiantes de básica y bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Chordeleg. Método: estudio cuasiexperimental prospectivo y descriptivo con un diseño transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo. Para la evaluación de este estudio se aplicó una encuesta antes y después, conformada de 10 preguntas, se consideraron variables sociodemográficas, y de conocimientos, no se registró datos personales. El análisis descriptivo se realizó mediante, frecuencias, porcentajes, medidas de tendencia central, con pruebas como Shapiro Wilk, prueba T de Student para muestras relacionadas, cuya población de estudio fue 224 estudiantes. Resultados: Se evidenció que el 63% fueron mujeres y el 38% de sexo masculino, se pudo observar que mediante la prueba T de Student para muestras relacionadas obtuvo (p<0.001) un impacto significativamente positivo en el conocimiento del VPH en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Chordeleg. Conclusión se realizó un pretest y postest con una intervención educativa y retroalimentación, concluyendo que se ve necesario e importante mejorar estos conocimientos del VPH para que los estudiantes eviten contraer esta enfermedad y el desarrollo del cáncer cérvico uterino por este virus, además se requiere explicar a las mujeres sobre el esquema de inmunización, cual es su función e importancia para prevenir el VPH.
