Within the framework of the so-called specialist information service for civil engineering, architecture and urban studies (FID BAUdigital), various services for these disciplines are being developed and offered. One requirement raised by researchers in a survey is their support for networking and exchange. This is to be promoted by a so-called Forschungatlas ("research atlas") based on VIVO, which will be a further showcase of VIVO as a research-field orientated research information system. In this presentation we will at firist introduce the context of the project, including why and how we want to enable profile ownership for researchers from our target communities. We will show the status quo of the VIVO prototype. A prototype implementation of a Leaflet-based map will be shown. Finally we will also shed some light on our planned next steps. Future steps include work on a more sophisticated map-based visualization of research actors and output, user authentification via ORCID based on the work in OpenVIVO, and import mechanisms for metadata via persistent identifiers.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
