Abstract

Dissomphalus intradentatus Azevedo, 2001 (Figs 110–112) Dissomphalus intradentatus Azevedo, 2001: 174, 186–187 (♂, holotype from Panama, PMAE, figs 82–88). Diagnosis. Mandible bidentate. Clypeus tridentate. Tergal process with pair of antero-lateral depressions, ovoid, deep, large with small pit covered by tuft of long seate. Hypopygium with posterior margin slightly concave. Genitalia: paramere with apex concave; aedeagal ventral ramus shorter than aedeagal dorsal body, laminar, surface sub-horizontal; outer margin concave apically; apex acute, slightly diverging; aedeagal dorsal body with four pairs of apical lobes, outer pair laminar, surface vertical, narrowing at apex and directed downward, apical; dorsal margin with short expansion and small teeth; ventral margin with large tooth, three inner pairs stout, membranose and setose; basal process with pair of lateral teeth directed outward, margin between them straight. Apodeme not extending beyond genital ring. Remarks. This species is known to Panama (Azevedo 2001) and here more specimens are added. Some variations are worth to mention: mesosoma and metasoma castaneous; median clypeal tooth angulate; median clypeal carina complete apically; vertex crest straight; anterior margin of pronotal disc ecarinate; basal process of aedeagal dorsal body without teeth.
