Oxyna corticina Rondani, 1870 ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1870c: 122 (key), 127 (description). TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle sub-appennino [sub-Apennine hill (Italy)]”. TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (missing right wing and left hind-leg) (MZUF: Box 31): Oxyna Desv. / corticina Rnd., Parma / 1648 / 1648 Oxyna ? nebulosa (Wied.), det. I.M. White, 1986 [label pinned near the specimen]. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Oxyna nebulosa (Wiedemann, 1817) (Foote 1984: 109, Norrbom et al. 1999: 179). REMARKS: Rondani (1870c: 127) described Oxyna corticina from just the male sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens: “ Semel marem legi [Once I collected the male]”. We found one syntype in this study. The MZUF also contains a (non-type) female.
