Spazigaster apennini Rondani, 1843 ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1843b: 43. TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Apennino altiore ditionis Parmensis [highest Parmese Apennines (Italy)]”. TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♀♀, syntypes (one missing fore-legs) (MZUF: Box 4): Spazigaster Rnd. / apennini Rnd., Apenn. [= Apennines] / 163. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Spazigaster ambulans (Fabricius, 1798) (Peck 1988: 77, Belcari et al. 1995a: 10). REMARKS: Rondani (1843b: 43) described Spazigaster apennini from two females: “ duo tantum foeminae inventae fuerunt … a … doctore Bertè [only two females were found … by Dr. Bertè]”.
