Markers of Evolution in Rich Galaxy Clusters

Abstract

Обнаружены статистически значимые регулярные субструктуры в двумерном распределении галактик в богатых скоплениях с красными смещениями до 0,15. Исходные данные были взяты из «Каталога скоплений и групп галактик» (Panko & Flin, 2006). Основным типом подструктур являются линейные вытянутые области перекрытия в кластерном поле. Направление линейной подструктуры обычно указывает на ближайшего соседа. Кроме того, мы нашли регулярные подструктуры типа X или Y, а также короткие и / или компактные цепи. Яркие галактики в скоплениях расположены в основном в регулярных субструктурах, и галактики в цепочках также демонстрируют значительное выравнивание вдоль цепочки. Обнаруженные особенности можно рассматривать как результат образования скопления галактик на пересечении нитей ТМ или взаимодействия нити со стенкой.
