Auriculoterapia y ejercicio físico: incidencia en el control y disminución de la obesidad exógena

Abstract

La obesidad se ha convertido en una dificultad creciente e importante de morbimortalidad a escala global, es considerada como el problema nutricional de mayor prevalencia en el mundo y múltiples factores que se asocian a este padecimiento aumentan el riesgo de mortalidad, por lo cual se hace necesario acudir a terapias que neutralice y contribuyan en el tratamiento de esta enfermedad. Se realizó un estudio con el objetivo de Evaluar la incidencia de la auriculoterapia y el ejercicio físico como terapias de intervención en el control y disminución de la obesidad exógena de usuarios que asistieron entre los meses de enero a julio de 2019 a la Clínica Panamericana de Babahoyo. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, prospectiva y longitudinal, el Universo de estudio quedó conformado por 210 usuarios entre 18 y 70 años de edad; se conformaron dos grupos (105 pacientes cada uno), el primero se trató mediante el uso de auriculoterapia, mientras que en el segundo grupo se empleó el ejercicio físico como terapia de intervención, en ambos grupos se orientó un tratamiento dietético. Se demostró que el empleo del ejercicio físico disminuyó el número de usuarios con mayor grado de obesidad, se incrementa la cantidad de individuos normopeso y este aumento de la actividad física será un importante elemento para elevar la calidad de vida de los usuarios que padecen de obesidad exógena.
