Tribe PACHYPODINI Erichson, 1840 Original spelling and citation: Pachypoden Erichson 1840: 29 Type genus: Pachypus Dejean, 1821: 57 Remark: Although this family-group name was not originally proposed in a Latinized form, it has subsequently been Latinized by numerous authors and should be considered available under Article 11.7.2. Billberg (1820: 390) used the name Pachypus prior to Dejean (1821), but this name was not made available under the ICZN in that publication. Therefore, Dejean (1821) is the author of the genus and it is not a junior homonym.
