This basic library is published in order to facilitate the decoding of the radar data collected by the Italian Department of civil protection which is currently running 10 polarimetric radar systems, whose 7 at C-band and 3 at X-band. Running the file example_read_radar_data_datamet-format.ipynb by the web-based user interface JupyterLab (for more information see the link http://jupyter.org), decoding the dataset is straightforward. Finally, the python code radar_plot.py provides the basic displaying functionality to test the output.
