La formación Inicial Docente en Chile: una revisión sobre su implementación y logros a partir de la década de los 90

Abstract

Introducción. En Chile, durante las últimas décadas se han generado e implementado diversas reformas y políticas educativas orientadas a mejorar la formación inicial docente, con el propósito de impactar en la calidad del sistema educativo. En este contexto, han sido varias las investigaciones que han buscado describir el resultado en la implementación de tales reformas y políticas. Objetivo. Realizar una revisión de la literatura científica de las políticas implementas a la formación de profesores, con el fin relevar los principales resultados. Análisis. Para ello, se efectúa una búsqueda de textos académicos publicados entre los años 2010 y 2019 presentes en las bases de datos Google Scholar, Web of Science y Scopus que contengan los conceptos: “initial teacher training”, “educational policy” y “Chile”. Resultados. Los resultados indican que las políticas promovidas por el Estado han sido implementadas por la Universidades que forman profesores. Asimismo, los resultados de la Prueba Inicia demuestra que los profesores no alcanzan los estándares de desempeño pedagógico y disciplinares esperados, cuyas debilidades son percibidas por los egresados de las carreras. Conclusiones. Se establece que aún persisten brechas entre la formación universitaria y las demandas del ejercicio docente, así como también las escasas relaciones entre los resultados de los procesos formativos evaluados mediante la Prueba Inicia y los mecanismos de control instaurados en la formación de profesores en Chile.
