A nomenclatural and taxonomic update of the species of the genus Xerocrassa Monterosato, 1892, endemic to the Balearic Islands, is conducted in the present work. Illustrations of representative shells of the recognized taxa are provided. The proposed classification is based on the new phylogenetic results and molecular species delimitation analyses obtained by the authors of this work and recently published (CHUECA ET AL., 2017). These results involve a new natural classification for several taxa studied, including the proposal of new taxonomic combinations.
