This contains the simulation data products used in the publication "The global structure of magnetic fields and gas in simulated Milky Way galaxies." Two simulation snapshots at different simulated times (t ~ 556 Myr and t ~ 976 Myr) are included from the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation, and one simulation snapshot from the hydrodynamic simulation (t ~ 976 Myr) is included in Gadget-2/GIZMO HDF5 format, along with processed data products from each of the simulation snapshots in NPZ (NumPy array archive) format and visualizations of the processed data products as images in PNG format. The datasets and attributes within the HDF5 simulation snapshot files are described in the GIZMO User's Guide and may be analyzed with, e.g., yt or gadgetviewer.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
