Abstract

Lethrus apterus (Laxmann, 1770) (Figs 12 A-C; 42B) ABDOMEN. — À s ympleurite VIII non mobile. TERMINALIA. — Segment IX partiellement régr essé. Tergite IX réduit à l’état d’hémitergites de grande taille, triangulaires, glabres, partiellement fusionnés par leur bord interne et soutenant une lame membraneuse recouvrant l’anus. Épipleurites IX profondément échancrés: partie dorsale grossièrement rectangulaire et convexe; partie ventrale étroite, sinueuse, et élargie v ers l’extrémité v entrale. Articulations tergopleurales et subcoxopleurales étroites. Gonopodes IX monomères, grossièrement pyramidaux, de grande taille et portant à l’apex une vingtaine de soies inégales. VOIES GÉNITALES. — Chambre anogén itale large, profonde, en forme de coupe. Orifice génital s itué entre gonopodes IX, anus situé en dessous du repli membraneux soutenu par les hémitergites IX. Vagin membraneux à paroi épaisse et replissée avec l’extrémité antérieure allongée et présentant un coude avant la jonction avec l’oviducte. Présence d’une poche membraneuse de taille moyenne sur la paroi dorsale du vagin. Oviducte ectodermique tubuliforme et étroit. Réceptacle s éminal membraneux, sacculiforme, présentant plusieurs étranglements circulaires à la base. Insertion par un canal court (une demie fois la longueur du réceptacle s éminal) s ur un repli membraneux du vagin situé à la base de la bourse copulatrice. Glande de la spermathèque membraneuse, petite (une demie fois la longueur du réceptacle s éminal), s acculiforme, insérée par un canal court à la base du réceptacle.
