Aquilonia similismessoria (Ballantyne 2009) comb. nov. Fig. 65 Gilvainsula similismessoria Ballantyne in Ballantyne & Lambkin 2009: 60 (figs 193, 194, 197, 198). Holotype. Male. PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Buna Bay (BPBM). Diagnosis. Known only from a few records along the east coast of New Guinea in the Buna Bay area; dorsally yellowish to pale brown with black elytral apices. Most similar to Aquil. messoria comb. nov. from which it is distinguished by the black elytral apices. Remarks. Ballantyne & Lambkin (2009) in erecting Gilvainsula from two similarly coloured species (messoria and similismessoria) thought they might represent two extremes of the one population.
