This study describes scale tests of the XRootD monitoring. We expected significant data loss when numerous servers sent data to a single monitoring collector. In our tests, we did not observe significant data loss when scaling to 50 very high traffic servers. We include details about our scale testing, as well as recommendations for the XRootD monitoring service to scale to an OSG wide production service.
