The researchers of the National Research Council of Italy – Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (CNR-IGG), with the cooperation of "Consorzio di Bonifica Adige-Euganeo", Project Partner in MoST (Monitoring Sea-water intrusion in coastal aquifers and Testing pilot projects for its mitigation) - reports the adventure of a research, whose object is fighting against desertification caused by saltwater intrusion in coastal areas. Interviews with CNR-IGG and "Consorzio di Bonifica Adige-Euganeo" representatives, with the collaboration of the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padova, from Ca’ Bianca water pump in Chioggia-VE, located near the MoST pilot site, have been broadcast on November 27th for the MEETmeTONIGHT (European researchers night).
This research is funded by the contribution from the EU co-financing and the Interreg Italy-Croatia CBC Programme 2014–2020 (Priority Axes: Safety and Resilience) through the European Regional Development Fund as a part of project Monitoring Sea-water intrusion in coastal aquifers and Testing pilot projects for its mitigation (MoST) (AID: 10047742).
