Data related to article "miR-146a in Myasthenia Gravis Thymus Bridges Innate Immunity With Autoimmunity and Is Linked to Therapeutic Effects of Corticosteroids"

Abstract

Raw data obtained by real-time PCR performed to assess the expression of miR-146a-5p and U6 endogenous control in: hyperplastic myasthenia gravis (MG) thymuses; normal thymuses; microdissected germinal centers (GCs) and surrounding thymic medulla from hyperplastic MG thymuses; peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and serum from MG patients and healthy controls; prednisone-treated PBMCs from MG patients and controls. Raw real-time PCR data obtained to assess mRNA levels of the miR-146a target genes, IRAK1, TRAF6, c-REL, ICOS, FAS and IRF8, and the endogenous 18S control, in hyperplastic MG and normal thymuses, microdissected MG GCs plus the surrounding thymic medulla. Confocal microscopy images of normal and hyperplastic MG thymuses after immunostainings performed to show: IRAK1 in combination with CD20 (B cell marker), cytokeratin (epithelial cell marker), CD11c (dendritic cell marker) and CD68 (macrophage marker); cREL in combination with CD20.
