Yanga heathi

Authors: Sanborn, Allen F.;
Abstract

Yanga heathi (Distant, 1899) Platypleura heathi Distant 1899: 475. (Madagascar) Remarks.—The third of four species with the hind wings piceous or piceous-brown. It can be distinguished from Y. antiopa by the lack of lighter distal apical cells, and from the lack of white apical areas found in Y. brancsiki and Y. hova. Body length is 32–38 mm, wingspan is about 97–115 mm (Distant 1899; specimens in hand). Distribution.—The species is only known from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2013). Jacobi (1917) reported the species from Tulear, southwestern Madagascar.
