Cochylidia altivaga Diakonoff, 1976 (Figs. 2, 12) Cochylidia altivaga Diakonoff, 1976: 5; Diakonoff, 1984: 283; Brown, 2005: 200. Type locality: Nepal (Prov. Chisapani Garhi). Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan Province: 13, Zhubalong Town, Batang County (30°00ʹN, 99°09ʹE), 2500 m, 10.vii.2001, leg. Houhun Li and Xinpu Wang. Gansu Province: 13, Bifenggou, Wen County, 860 m, 14.vii.2005, leg. Haili Yu. Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 2) with wingspan 14.0 mm. The male genitalia of this species are similar to those of C. contumescens (Meyrick, 1931) (Fig. 12), but in C. altivaga the length of the valva is about 1.5 times its width, the phallus bears a spine at the distal 3/5, and the cornuti are a dense bundle of thin spines. In C. contumescens, the length of valva is about 2.0 times its width, the phallus bears a spine at the distal 1/4, and the cornuti consist of three curved, thick spines. Distribution. China (Gansu, Sichuan), Nepal. Note. This species is recorded for the first time in China.
