An analysis of macroeconomic indicators of economic development and identification of existing disparities that indicate a lack of proportionality in the economic sector of Ukraine at all levels. The discrepancy between the growth rates and the deterioration of the financial condition of economic entities is identified as the most significant disparity in the development of domestic industrial production. Restoration and modernization of the industrial sector of Ukraine on the basis of industrial policy is the only alternative to increase the level of competitiveness of the economy. The real sector of the modern national economy must be modernized on the new principles of innovation and the use of creative potential. Domestic companies face serious challenges related to further improving their potential.
